8 Assam Bn, NCC organises mega blood donation campaign at Nowgong College

NAGAON, Nov 27: As part of celebration of 75th year jubilee of National Cadet Corps (NCC), 8 Assam Battalion, NCC, Tezpur Group organised a mega blood donation campaign here at Nowgong College on Sunday.

During the campaign, over 125 officers, junior commission officer, NCC cadets, ex NCC cadets participated in the drive and donated blood for the patients in emergency use.

The programme was initiated by Colonel Amar Singh. Deputy commissioner, Nagaon Narendra Kr Shah attended the programme as the chief guest. While addressing the occasion, DC Shah motivated the cadets to be obedient to their parents, teachers as well as NCC instructors and also asked to be a major part of nation building. He urged all of them to join armed forces. The programme was concluded with a traditional ‘Bagarumba’ dance performed by the cadets of NCC unit, a release added.
