CEM lays foundation for auditorium at Taralangso

DIPHU, Nov 30: Chief executive member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang laid the foundation stone for construction of state-of-the-art auditorium at Karbi cultural centre, Taralangso here on Wednesday.

During the laying of the foundation stone the CEM said, “Under chief minister special package a state-of-the-art auditorium with a cost of Rs. 36 crores will be constructed at Karbi People’s Hall, Taralangso.”

He also said the construction of an auditorium was needed as the annual Karbi Youth Festival is being hosted at Taralangso. The sitting capacity will be 2,500 and will be completed by 6 months.

MP Horensing Bey; MLA, Rupsing Teron and executive members, KAAC and member of Autonomous Council (MACs) and president, Karbi Cultural Society, Chandrasing Kro and general secretary, Bidyasing Rongpi attended the function.
