Digboi Battalion Cricket Tournament Concludes At Digboi

TEZPUR, Dec 27: Digboi Battalion of Red Shield Division under the aegis of Spear Corps as part of ‘Op SADBHAVANA’ organised a day and night cricket tournament at Digboi with the aim to develop sportsman spirit & promote healthy lifestyle amongst the local youth. A total of 60 teams participated from Tinsukia and Dibrugarh district in the 12-day long tournament.

The tournament concluded with the closing ceremony and final match played between Makum 11 and Golai 11 on December 22. The tournament witnessed overwhelming participation from teams and spectators across the spectrum. The tournament also paved the platform for better interaction and social synergy between the Battalion and the locals. Makum 11 won the tournament in front of more than 700 energised spectators and were awarded Rs 50,000 and Golai 11 were awarded with Rs 25,000 as the runners up.
