ISPL 2022: Bodoland Territorial Region & Lai Autonomous District Council enter final

KOKRAJHAR, OCT  20: Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and Lai Autonomous Council (LADC) enter in the final match of the first ever inter sixth schedule premier (ISPL) 2022 to be played on Sunday (23rd October) at SAI SAG Centre Titaguri in Kokrajhar.

Bodoland Territorial Region team will take on Dima Hasao Autonomous Council in the final match of the ISPL 2022.

Bodoland Territorial Region team defeated Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council 2-1 goal in the semi final match being held today at Dimakuchi mini stadium in Udalguri district.

Maneswar Brahma of Bodoland netted first goal against Karbi Anglong in 8 minutes and entered in the final match of the mega ISPL 2022.

Malongkiri Tisso of Karbi Anglong equalised the goal by scoring a goal against Bodoland team in 16 minutes and the match was 1-1 till first half.

Again, Jwngbla Brahma of Bodoland Territorial Region scored another goal against Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council in 94 minutes of second half that led the team to earn two goals and won the match 2-1 which have paved the way for entry of final match.

Jwngbla Brahma of Bodoland Territorial Region was awarded man of the match and conferred cash Rs 10,000 on the day.

In KDSA stadium playground in Kokrajhar, Lai Autonomous District Council of Mizoram(LADC) defeated

Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC) 4-2 goals via tie breaker penalty shot in another semi final match being held today and entered the final match of the ISPL 2022.

Baorindao Bodo of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council netted first goal against Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) of Mizoram in 14 minutes.

V Lalhmingmuana equalised the goal scoring a goal against Dima Hasao in 25 minutes and the match was 1-1 till first half.

Bishal Hojai of Dima Hasao scored one goal against Lai Autonomous in 59  minutes of the second half. Again,Lalkrossmawia of Lai Autonomous scored a goal against the Dima Hasao that earned two goals and the match was 2-2 goals till full time of the game.

Due to the the draw of the match, there was 30 minute’s extra time game match, Bishal Hojai of Dima Hasao scored another goal against Lai in 90+ minutes and earned three goals.

Richars Rohmugliana of Lai Autonomous District Council equalised the goal by scoring another goal against Dima Hasao in 99 minutes that led the match 3-3 goals with draw in the extra time game.

Later,the organisers have conducted tie breaker penalty shot where Lai Autonomous District Council beat Dima Hasao Autonomous Council 4-2 goals via tie breaker shot and entered the final match of the mega ISPL event.

Francis of the Lai Autonomous District Council was adjusted man of the match and awarded cash Rs 10,000.

A total eight teams representing different sixth schedule councils from north eastern region participated the ISPL-2022 mega event and showased their sports talents in the event.

Notably,the first ever inter sixth schedule premier league (ISPL)-2022 was started on 9th October at Dimakuchi mini stadium in Udalguri district and closing ceremony will take place on 23rd October scheduled to be held at SAI SAG Centre Titaguri in Kokrajhar.

The ISPL-2022 has been organised by Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) government for building a better net working, mutual understanding and to provide a platform to the youths in the field of sports across the north eastern region of India.

The final match will held at SAI SAG Centre Titaguri in Kokrajhar on 23rd October between Bodoland team and Lai Autonomous.

The championship team would be awarded trophy & cash Rs 3 lakh, runners up team to be conferred trophy & Rs. 2 lakh and third place holder team would be given away trophy & Rs 1 lakh respectively.

Chief Minister of Assam, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, All India Football Federation (AIFF) president Kalyan Chaubey,CEMs, deputy CEMs from different sixth schedule councils of north eastern region are attending as chief guest, special guest and guests on the closing ceremony of the ISPL.

Chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) Pramod Boro told that the semi final matches of ISPL was held today at KDSA stadium playground in Kokrajhar and Dimakuchi mini stadium playground in Udalguri district which is expecting to witness a huge thronging of sports loving citizens.

He said that the final match will held on Sunday at SAI SAG Centre Titaguri playground in Kokrajhar district in a grand manner.

He informed that Chief Minister of Assam, Dr Sarma and AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey are attending as guests on the occasion to mark the grand finale match.

He has appealed to all sections of the communities to extend support and helping hand towards the bringing a grand success of the closing ceremony of the event.
