BOKAJAN, Dec 30:Â Police in Karbi Anglong recovered illegal gutkha from a container truck on Thursday evening.

The police were on a routine checking of vehicles at Vomulangso under Borpathar Police Station in the evening of December 29 when they came across a container truck, bearing registration number UP 10 HT 8952.
The large quantity of gutkha was not declared by the driver of the truck and said that the goods were being brought from Delhi and were supposed to be delivered to Dimapur. The transporters declared the goods as gas stoves and pressure cookers.
In this connection, two were arrested and the truck was seized. The arrested have been identified as Rashield Ali Arta (24), resident of Ujahri Hashanpur in Uttar Pradesh and Waseen Hafij (34), a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
