KOKRAJHAR, Feb 19: The car rally team for promotion of the BIKF (Bodoland International Knowledge Festival-2023) concluded at the Bodoland University campus on Sunday after four days of travelling over 1,400 km covering several universities and colleges of the state.
Notably, a 30-member team of the rally in 10 vehicles participated in the promotion event in connection with the BIKF beginning from February 27. The event is being organised by the Bodoland University under the aegis of the Government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
The rally started on February 16 and concluded peacefully on Sunday evening at the Bodoland University campus with a closing ceremony in the presence of the CEM (Chief Executive Member) of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro and several dignitaries.
The rally team members were accorded warm welcome and felicitation on Sunday evening by the organisers of the knowledge festival and students of the Bodoland University.
During the journey, the team visited Bhattadev University, Pathsala, Tezpur University, Dibrugarh University, Jorhat Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat Degree College where the team met faculty members and students and spread messages regarding the holding of the knowledge festival.
The rally team held promotional awareness meeting with faculty members and students of the university at the seminar hall of the university. The student and faculty fraternities of the universities and colleges have expressed their solidarity while attending the message sharing meetings in all visiting educational institutions.
A closing ceremony of the car rally was organised at the Bodoland University where the organising committee members offered warm felicitation with the traditional ‘Aronai’ to all team members.
CEM of BTR, Pramod Boro graced the occasion as the chief guest.
In his speech, Boro congratulated all the participating team members who have returned to the Bodoland University successfully. Boro further hoped that the upcoming knowledge festival will have a grand success with schedule programmes.
Among others present in the closing ceremony were the registrar of Bodoland University, Dr Subung Basumatary, and BTR Executive Member Dr Nilut Swargiary.
