BOKAJAN, March 18: The MLA of Bokajan and Deputy Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly, Dr Numal Momin laid foundation stones for the construction of roads at Lakhijan and Sukhanjan; workshop building at Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Kuligaon and a drinking water project at Hidipi.
The foundation for road construction was laid at 11 am on Saturday morning. The road is 5 km long and will be constructed under Mukhya Mantri Unnoto Pakipath Nirman Achani SOPDG 2022-23 and the estimated cost is Rs 11 crore.
At Ram Terang village, Hidipi Gravity Piped Water Supply Scheme under Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana 2021-22 will be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 1.6 crore. DC, Karbi Anglong, Madhumita Bhagawati and executive member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Mangal Sing Timung were present at the foundation stone laying ceremony.
The building at Kuligaon ITI is being constructed under Up-Gradation of Government Polytechnic Institute and ITI in Assam as centre excellence. A workshop and tech lap will be built with an estimated cost of Rs. 1.7 crore.
