BOKAJAN: Police of Khatkhati police station and staff of excise department recovered IMFL from an LP truck from in one of the parking lodges at Gautom basti, Khatkhati on Sunday night.
Police sources said on Sunday night while checking in one of the parking areas in Gautom basti, Khatkhati recovered 869 cartons of IMFL from a truck bearing registration number NL01AE3666. The IMFL were hidden underneath edible oil (Neeraj) cartons. Market value is Rs 24 lakh, police said.
The truck was coming from Guwahati and was heading for Imphal, Manipur. The handyman Rupson Ali, age 19 years and driver Ismail Hussain, age 24 years were arrested by police. Both are from Goalpara, Assam.
