GUWAHATI, April 9: Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria attended the oath taking ceremony of the newly elected office bearers of Purvottar Pradesiya Marwari Sammelan and Purvottar Pradesiya Marwari Yuva Manch at Fancy bazar on Sunday.

The Governor congratulated all the members of the organisations and said that both the organisations have been carrying out the important task of public welfare and society-building for the last several decades.
While talking to the new office bearers on the occasion, Kataria said he was pleased to acknowledge the remarkable services being rendered by the members of the organisations. He said that it is a matter of happiness that ever since their inception, both the organisations have been rendering valuable services to the community. He hailed the founding members and stalwarts of the organisations for conceiving and establishing the bodies to serve humanity at large. Lauding the organisations for their selfless activities, the Governor said that the organisations have always stood firm in upholding its principles to serve the people.
“I hail the organizations’ exceptional service to Assamese society and its unwavering commitment to preserving cultural vibrancy.” the Governor said.
Kataria further stated that human beings have the aptitude of doing good, and it is everyone’s duty to push the society towards progress. He called upon the people in general to take up the responsibility and contribute to the betterment of humanity. He said that if worked together greater things can be achieved and a bright future can be built for the nation.
The First Lady of Assam Anita Kataria, MP and BJP President Rajasthan CP Joshi, president of Purvottar Pradesiya Marwari Yuva Manch Kailash Kabra along with a host of other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
