Jorhat District Admin Launches KBPH Campaign

JORHAT, April 24: Along with the other districts of the state, the Jorhat district administration on Sunday launched the Kisan Bhagidari, Prathmikta Hamari (KBPH) weeklong awareness campaign of Kisan Credit Card and saturation drive.

This was stated by Jorhat deputy commissioner Ashok Kumar Barman to news persons in the conference hall of the DC’s office complex.

The drive has been initiated by the department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare under the Union Ministry of Agriculture in association with state governments\union territories\banks, etc., in order to saturate all PM Kisan beneficiaries with all types of KCC and also those farmers who are not PM Kisan beneficiaries can also apply.

The farmers will be facilitated to get benefits of all the ongoing schemes for farmers by the Central government.

The campaign would mobilise potential farmers through gram sabhas to saturate PM Kisan beneficiaries with KCC and to cover all other eligible farmers’ crops under the various social security schemes like crop cultivation, dairy, animal husbandry and fishery.

The deputy commissioner said that to provide agri loans to 36,492 PM Kisan eligible beneficiaries across 92 gaon panchayats arrangements have been made to distribute single phase forms.

The district administration, agriculture, fishery, animal husbandry, Janasanyog, All India Radio, Gram Panchayats, Nabard will all be involved to carry out the awareness campaign.
