Misrepresentation Of Bodo Dance Condemned

HOWRAGHAT, April 25: Bodo Harimu Afat, a Bodo cultural organisation, has condemned the misrepresentation of the traditional Bodo dance- Bagurumba and Ransandi by Debojit Bora and his group Panchanya Sur Bahini. The Bodo dances were telecast on a satellite channel.

Bodo Harimu Afat said by the misrepresentation of the dances gives it a different form by which the Bodo community has felt discomfited. “Although the intention may be good it has turned out to be something else,” it said demanding Bora to tender an apology within 48 to Dularai Bodo Harimu Afat otherwise an FIR against him would be lodged.
