Bagurumba dance workshop paves way for Guinness World Record attempt in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, Oct 10: A workshop on the Bagurumba Dance was conducted at Bodofa House Auditorium in Baganshali, Kokrajhar, in preparation for an upcoming world record attempt that will feature a grand dance showcase in Kokrajhar, the heart of the Bodoland Territorial Region.

The workshop, jointly organized by the Bodo Sahitya Sabha, All Bodo Students Union, and Dularai Bodo Harimu Afad, emphasized the need for thorough preparation to organize a grand Bagurumba Dance showcase, with participants donning traditional Bodo attire. This event aims to set a Guinness World Record for the largest Bagurumba Dance Performance in the history of Bodo dance exhibitions.

The occasion was graced by Pramod Boro, the Chief Executive Member of Bodoland Territorial Region, BTCLA Speaker Katiram Boro, MLA Lawrence Islary, and Dr Surath Narzary, President of Bodo Sahitya Sabha, who attended as the chief guest and guests of honor, respectively.

CEM Boro expressed that the Bagurumba Dance showcase in Kokrajhar, featuring participants adorned in traditional Bodo attire, will be a grand event. He emphasized that the BTR is gearing up to set a Guinness World Record for the largest Bagurumba Dance Performance ever, which will mark a historic moment for the citizens of the Bodoland region.

He called upon people from all communities to extend their cooperation and support to ensure the grand success of the Bagurumba Dance showcase. This initiative not only celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Bodoland region but also showcases its commitment to achieving remarkable feats in the world of dance and culture.
