ITANAGAR, Dec 22: The Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) on Monday inaugurated a Legal Aid Clinic at Police Station Chimpu to enhance access to legal assistance at the grassroots level.
The clinic was inaugurated by APSLSA Member Secretary Yomge Ado in the presence of Kengo Dirchi, SDPO, Itanagar, and Niraj Nishant, Officer-in-Charge of Police Station Chimpu.
Police personnel, advocates, office-bearers of the Chimpu Youth Association, local vendors and other stakeholders also attended the programme.
Officials said the Legal Aid Clinic will provide legal awareness and free legal services to people in need, particularly vulnerable sections, and will facilitate timely legal guidance at the police station level.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening access to justice and promoting legal literacy among the public.
