Biyuram Wahge urges youths to preserve the past for future gowth

ITANAGAR, Nov 6: Minister for Health & Family Welfare, WRD and Pakkekessang MLA Biyuram Wahge has appealed to the youths of Pakkekessang district to work in unity for the overall development of the district and the state.

Addressing youths and students from Pasa Valley at a city hotel on Wednesday during the jersey and promo launch ceremony of the Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee of GUPS Rilloh, Wahge emphasised the importance of safeguarding the past and present for a better future.

“It is a happy occasion that the Rilloh Government Upper Primary School will celebrate its golden jubilee on December 12 and 13. I urge the committee to unite all former students who studied here when communication facilities were limited,” Wahge said, assuring full support for the celebration.

Organising Committee Chairman Teli Padang said it was the duty of former students to contribute to their alma mater, adding that they were grateful for the minister’s assurance to transform the school into a better learning institution.

Pakkekessang District Intellectual Forum Chairman Ramu Welly attended as guest of honour, while ZPM Sunil Nabam and GJCC Secretary Techi James Tara also addressed the gathering. Among others present were former SAA Vice Chairman Sanjiv Tana Tara, PHED SE Tayum Tok and representatives from various students’ and youth associations.

A jersey and a promo song for the jubilee celebration were also launched during the event.
