The training was held at the SCERT Conference Hall in the state capital.

According to an official statement, the programme was designed to build the capacity of teachers and education professionals in Arunachal Pradesh by enabling them to effectively leverage the national Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing (DIKSHA) portal for teaching and learning.

A total of 31 participants from various District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) and districts across the state took part in the sessions.

The training covered a wide range of topics including navigation of the DIKSHA portal, accessing and curating e-resources, uploading and creating digital content, integrating QR codes found in school textbooks, and tracking students’ learning progress through the platform.

These modules were tailored to meet the specific needs of educators adapting to blended and digital learning environments.

The programme was inaugurated in the presence of Dr Rejaul Karim Barbhuia, National Coordinator for DIKSHA from NCERT, New Delhi.

In his address, Dr Barbhuia underlined the importance of digital platforms like DIKSHA in achieving the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

He stated that the platform offers transformative potential in making education more inclusive, equitable, and accessible across geographies.

Two key resource persons from DIKSHA’s Programme Management Unit (PMU) at NCERT, Sweta Tiwari and Pathikrit Ghosh, conducted technical sessions that delved into different facets of DIKSHA, from user engagement strategies to platform tools that enhance pedagogy.

They also provided practical demonstrations on content development and learner assessment using DIKSHA tools.

In an interactive session, Marpak Doke, Lecturer at DIET Yachuli, familiarised participants with digital assessment tools and encouraged their use as part of the teaching-learning process.

His insights helped contextualise the tools within real classroom scenarios.

During the valedictory session, programme coordinator NK Chourasia lauded the dedication shown by the participating educators.

He emphasised the growing relevance of continuous professional development in a rapidly digitising education landscape, and urged teachers to embrace platforms like DIKSHA to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the practical and interactive approach of the training. Many noted that the hands-on exposure to the DIKSHA platform had significantly improved their confidence in using digital tools to enrich classroom experiences and support individual student learning needs.

The orientation programme is part of SCERT’s broader commitment to implement digital initiatives in line with NEP 2020 and empower teachers as facilitators of 21st-century education in Arunachal Pradesh.
