Din Din Club, APLS host book launch and literary session in Itanagar

ITANAGAR, Dec 22: A Book Launch-cum-Literary Session jointly organised by the Din Din Club and the Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) was held recently at the APLS Office in E-Sector here, drawing over 30 writers, literary enthusiasts and dignitaries.

The programme began with the launch of Noor, the debut poetry collection of Radhe Yarang.

Din Din Club president Wanggo Socia inaugurated the session and spoke on the objectives of the club, stressing the need to identify, mentor and encourage young writers.

Senior literary figures, including APLS president Y D Thongchi, R N Koley, Dr Bompi Riba and Dr Moge Basar, were felicitated in recognition of their contributions to literature and academia.

The author read select poems from her collection and reflected on her writing journey, acknowledging the support of her family, friends and teachers.

Offering critical feedback, Dr Bompi Riba advised emerging writers to seek sound editorial guidance and cultivate originality in their work.

A brief interaction followed, during which Wanggo Socia recalled encouraging Radhe Yarang to publish after noticing her potential at Din Din Club meetings.

The literary session featured poetry recitations by Kamwang Wangsu, Tania Mite and Nyoki Siram, who presented Hindi poems on themes of love and longing.

Motivational addresses by Dr Moge Basar and Y D Thongchi urged participants to continue writing and highlighted the support extended by APLS and Din Din Club to budding authors.

Additional readings were presented by Kapu Sanjay and Cha Ong Rangjang, while Dr Bompi Riba concluded the session with recitations of her poems To Study or Not to Study and Talar.

The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Cha Ong Rangjang, General Secretary of Din Din Club, followed by a group photograph. Organisers said the event reinforced literary engagement in the capital and provided an encouraging platform for young and emerging writers.
