ITANAGAR, Sept 22: The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt General KT Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM (Retd), extended warm greetings to the people of the State, particularly to the Idu Mishmi community, on the occasion of Ke-Meh-Ha Festival.
He expressed hope that the festival would usher in prosperity and tranquillity in society.
In his message, the Governor highlighted the significance of agriculture in the life of Arunachal Pradesh, stating that it has always been at the heart of the State’s way of life and traditions.
He said that festivals are deeply connected with the cycles of cultivation and harvest, and through their rituals and community spirit, they not only bring joy but also serve as vital threads preserving and carrying forward the rich cultural heritage of the people.
The Governor urged the people to take pride in their customs, honour the wisdom of their forefathers, and pass on this legacy to future generations.
He especially called upon the youth to actively participate in the festivities, emphasising that such involvement keeps communities rooted in their identity while strengthening social bonds.
“On this special day, I join my Idu Mishmi brethren in offering prayers to Apeh-Mili and Apeh-Gonlo, seeking their blessings for abundance, good health, and happiness for all,” the Governor said in his message.
