A sea of enthusiastic supporters, admirers, and well-wishers flooded the railway premises as news spread of Yajik’s arrival. Thousands of people from all walks of life — including students, sportspersons, family members, relatives, women’s groups, social activists, and representatives from various community organizations — gathered to celebrate the return of the trailblazing athlete.

Organized and coordinated by the Arunachal Bodybuilding Association (ABBA) and local sports communities, the reception event turned into a celebration of inspiration and determination. Supporters chanted slogans, held placards bearing congratulatory messages, and showered Yajik with traditional scarves and garlands.

ABBA officials hailed her victory as a “watershed moment” in the history of women’s sports in the state. “Hillang Yajik has not only brought glory to Arunachal Pradesh but has also broken barriers and stereotypes that existed in the world of professional bodybuilding. Her success story is a beacon of hope for aspiring athletes, especially young women,” said one of the senior members of ABBA during the event.

Yajik, visibly moved by the overwhelming reception, thanked the people of Arunachal for their unwavering support. She said, “This gold medal is not mine alone. It belongs to every young girl in Arunachal who dares to dream, and to every person who has supported women in sports. I will continue to work hard and bring more laurels to the state and the country.”
