NAMSAI, June 16: In a significant step toward environmental conservation, Thrizino township hosted its first-ever Cherry Blossom (Tsan) and Bauhinia (Sheldon) plantation drive under the banner of the “Clean Thrizino, Green Thrizino” initiative.
The event was jointly organized by the Clean Thrizino, Green Thrizino Committee in collaboration with the Thrizino Administration, aiming to enhance the township’s green cover and raise awareness on ecological sustainability.

The plantation drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from local leaders, officials, and community members. Among the dignitaries present were Mr. Jape Delusow, Chairman of the Clean Thrizino, Green Thrizino Committee; Mr. Topek Kakki, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Thrizino; and Er. Bonny Sakrinsow, Chief Patron of the CTGT initiative.
The organisers expressed hope that this green initiative would inspire similar drives across the region and contribute to long-term environmental well-being.
