According to an official statement, the initiative aimed to empower Self Help Group (SHG) members and their families by facilitating formal registration of their entrepreneurial ventures, thereby opening access to government schemes, markets, and further development opportunities.

The event drew enthusiastic participation from local entrepreneurs, with a total of 43 individuals, including one family member of an SHG participant, completing the registration process.

The Mela served as a vital step towards formalising grassroots enterprises and integrating them into the broader economic framework.

The programme was attended by several dignitaries including Circle Officer of Yachuli, John Diru, District Mission Management (DMM) In-Charge Maga Aminta, and District Coordinator of DDU-GKY, Techi Totu. The BMMU Yachuli team also played an active role in coordinating the event.

She praised the participants for their proactive engagement and commitment to establishing their ventures.

In his address, Circle Officer John Diru encouraged SHG members to look beyond registration and focus on improving product quality, innovation, and branding to compete in larger markets.

Emphasising the need for consistency and professionalism, Diru visited various stalls, interacted with participants, and offered constructive feedback to help them scale up their businesses.
