Lakhimpur, 07 Oct: Along with various districts of the state, today in Lakhimpur district too, more than a lakh women successfully received funds under the Orunodoi Scheme through the digital system. Each woman beneficiary received ₹1,250 directly into her bank account and expressed satisfaction upon receiving the assistance.
Today, the Chief Minister digitally transferred the Orunodoi funds, and accordingly, information about the distribution was shared at every booth (polling station) across the state. Following this, in the Lakhimpur district alone, a total of 1,43,029 women received the Orunodoi benefits, each amounting to ₹1,250.
Specifically, in the Lakhimpur Legislative Assembly constituency, 28,792 women benefited; in Ranganadi constituency, 27,967 women; in Bihpuria constituency, 28,908 women; and in Nowboicha constituency, 27,901 women received the funds.
Furthermore, public meetings were held today at various booth centers across the district to mark the Orunodoi disbursement. Such meetings were organized in 776 booth centers of Lakhimpur district, where the Chief Minister officially launched the digital transfer of Orunodoi funds.
At the meeting held at Gajai Monai under the Boginadi area of the district, Lakhimpur MLA Manab Deka, District Commissioner Pranabjyoti Kakoti, and Lakhimpur District BJP President Shyamal Sharma (at booth number 187 under Nowboicha constituency) were present, among others.
It is noteworthy that various beneficiaries, panchayat representatives, government officials, administrative officers, district council members, and councillors attended these booth-level meetings held across the district today.
