The civic action program aimed to provide essential medical and veterinary services to residents and their livestock, reflecting the unit’s commitment to community welfare within its area of responsibility.

In the medical civic action program, a total of 36 villagers benefited from free medical check-ups. The group included 14 males, 15 females, and 7 children. Services provided included general health examinations, consultations, and the distribution of essential medicines at no cost. This initiative was vital in addressing the healthcare needs of the rural population, who often have limited access to medical facilities.

The veterinary civic action program extended veterinary services to 113 animals. The care included health check-ups and treatments for various ailments affecting the animals.

As part of its environmental conservation efforts, the battalion also organised a plantation drive. Dr SS Raina, commandant medical of 31 Bn SSB, Gossaigaon, and Dr EC Singh, commandant veterinary of 06 Bn SSB, Ranighuli, along with jawans and villagers, planted a variety of saplings in Jonaligaon.
