38th Foundation Day of AGP celebrated at Margherita

MARGHERITA, Oct 14: Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) celebrated its 38th Foundation Day on Friday at Margherita AGP Vidhan Parishad Office with huge enthusiasm and gaiety.
The programme began with the hoisting of AGP flag by Labanya Dohotia, the president of AGP Margherita Vidhan Parishad followed by ‘shahid smaran’ by Sanjib Borah, central executive member of AGP.
The whole programme was moderated by Pradip Gogoi, general secretary of AGP Margherita Bidhan Parishad.
“After that, 22 senior AGP and Assam Agitation leaders of 124 number Margherita constituency: Dipak Sundas, Simanta Madhab Katoky, Bokoli Hazarika, Sabitri Das, Koda Mal Periwal, Pradip Mahanta and Nareswar Hazarika were felicitated with traditional Assamese phoolam gamosa, a citation and a token of gift,” said Pradip Gogoi.
On the eve of 38th Foundation Day of AGP, a blood donation camp was organised by AGP Margherita Bidhan Parishad which was inaugurated by Dr Kumud Chandra Das, deputy superintendent of Margherita Civil Hospital and Dr Sanjib Sonowal, radiologist of Central Hospital Margherita.
“Many people from Margherita region came and donated blood,” said Pradip Gogoi.
