39th annual conference of UPRVBPP concludes

MANGALDAI, Jan 6: The 39th Annual Conference of the Uttar Purvanchal Ramakrishna Vivekananda Bhava Prachar Parishad (Unit II) concluded successfully after a two-day programme held on January 3 and 4, 2026, at the Ramakrishna Mission Kharupetia premises.

The conference was hosted by Shri Ramakrishna Sevashram, Kharupetia.

A total of 56 delegates representing 28 affiliated ashrams participated in the conference.

The deliberations were enriched by the presence and guidance of revered Swamis of the Ramakrishna Mission, including office-bearers such as the President, Vice-Presidents and the Headquarters Representative from Belur Math, lending spiritual depth to the proceedings.

Key discussions during the conference focused on the continuation of programmes marking the 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic visit to Assam, a review of benevolent and service activities undertaken by various ashrams, and strategies for youth development inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and other spiritual luminaries.

The conference emphasised strengthening unity among the ashrams, promoting spiritual growth and social service, and energising the younger generation with Vivekananda’s empowering teachings.

The event concluded on an inspiring note with a dedicated youth-oriented programme aimed at keeping Swami Vivekananda’s legacy relevant and impactful.

In a significant announcement, Ankur Saha of Kharupetia was appointed as the convener of the Yuva Parishad for Unit II.

The two-day conference reaffirmed the collective commitment of the ashrams towards spirituality, service and youth empowerment across the region.
