BOKAJAN, Nov 13: The curtains fell on the 5th Amur Falcon Festival in West Karbi Anglong, Chinthong, as it concluded last evening at the enchanting venue of Phonglangso Urokhuti.
Spanning from November 11, the festival celebrated the annual visitation of the Amur Falcon, affectionately referred to as Kalengmaha in the local Karbi dialect, as it graced the region during its migratory journey in the month of November.
The festival organising committee along with the chief executive member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang along with other dignitaries went to watch the Amur Falcon. On the occasion along with concerts by singers and bands, running race and drawing competition were also held. A concert was also held in memory of recently deceased singer and lyricist Daniel Engti. MLA Bidya Sing Engleng, member of Autonomous Council, Abhijeet Kro and others also attended the festival.
