AASU Holds March in Lakhimpur Demanding Justice for Zubeen Garg

Lakhimpur , 23 Oct : Following the call of the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU), the Lakhimpur District Students’ Union organised a march today demanding justice for singer Zubeen Garg.

Students took to the streets in a procession that began from Shaheed Bhawan and moved through the centre of Lakhimpur town. The march, supported by regional AASU units, echoed with chants like “Give Justice to Zubeen Garg”, “Zubeen Garg Amar Houk (Long Live Zubeen Garg)”, and “Fast-Track the Court Proceedings”.

The participants urged the government and judiciary to speed up the investigation and ensure justice through a fast-track court. The rally filled the town with student voices and placards calling for accountability in the case.

Leaders of the district unit, including the president and general secretary, along with members from AASU’s central committee, were present during the march, reaffirming the organisation’s demand for justice for the artist.
