On the occasion, a live telecast of the central programme related to the Viksit Bharat G-RAM-G Bill was arranged. In addition to the telecast, discussions were held with participants highlighting the significance of National Farmers’ Day and its relevance to the farming community, particularly in the context of rural development and farmer welfare.
It may be mentioned that the Viksit Bharat G-RAM-G Bill, 2025 proposes a new legislative framework in alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, replacing the existing MGNREGA structure. Under the proposed framework, the guaranteed employment for each rural household has been increased to 125 days, thereby strengthening income security in rural areas.
