Aelita Art & Craft School announces annual exam results

GUWAHATI, May 10: The annual examination results and prize distribution ceremony of Aelita Art & Craft School was held on Saturday at Nandi Mikir Primary School, Chachal, Guwahati.

Aelita Art & Craft School is registered under the Government of Assam and is part of the MSME scheme of the Government of India. The institution has earned recognition from the India Book of Records, Asia Book of Records and Solan Book of World Records.

The event began with young student Shivangi Bora performing Zubeen Garg’s song ‘Mayabini’. Distinguished guests included Dr Budhin Saikia, retired Deputy Superintendent of Gauhati Medical College; Dr Akshay Jyoti Sharma, Head of the Political Science Department at Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore Vishwavidyalaya; social activist Dipankar Kalita; Abani Sarma, Head Teacher of Nandi Mikir Primary School; and Santosh Das, Staff Reporter of Dainik Purvodoi.

In their addresses, the guests lauded the school’s contribution to art and sculpture education over the past three years and encouraged the students. The dignitaries also presented awards to the prize winners.

Student Mayurdeep Talukdar’s guitar rendition of Zubeen Garg’s ‘Ejak Boroxune Muk Dhui Thoi Gol’ captivated the audience.

In Rainbow Class, Dipti Dutta secured first position, Firoz Ali second position and Dibija Sarma third position. In Chitrangada Class, Adrika Sinha secured first position, Karanjit Deka second position and Devasmita Devi third position. In Ankan-Achar Class, Anisha Baishya secured first position, Hansaraj Mahanta second position and Karnav Kaushal Sarma third position.

In the first year category, Harshik Nath secured first position, Ukshit Barman second position and Janardan Debnath third position. In the second year category, Kapil Ray secured first position, Anjumoni Barman second position and Mayurdip Talukdar third position.

First, second and third place holders from each class were awarded prizes and certificates. Three students from each class also received encouragement awards. Special prizes were given to students with 100 per cent attendance.

The ceremony was conducted by Dhananjay Talukdar, president of the school’s Managing Committee. Rector Jonaki Kalita Talukdar delivered the vote of thanks and announced that admissions are now open for the school’s programme, which includes 93 specialised subjects in art and sculpture. The event came to an end with the state song.
