Ananda Kumar Das assumes charge as new DC of Sonitpur

TEZPUR, July 24: Ananda Kumar Das, ACS (DR-95), officially assumed charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Sonitpur district on Thursday.

According to an official statement, Das previously served as Secretary to the Government of Assam, Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Department.

He also held the additional charge of Commissioner, Food, Public Distribution & Consumer Affairs and Legal Metrology, Assam.

Upon his arrival at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Tezpur, Das was accorded a warm and cordial welcome by the officers and staff of the district administration.

He succeeds Ankur Bharali, ACS (DR-99), who has been transferred and appointed as Director, Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam.
