SIVASAGAR, Dec 8: Dr Pranjal Buragohain, associate professor in the Education department at Dibrugarh University, delivered the Anjalee Dutta Memorial Lecture on Thursday at Sivasagar Yuva Dal. The lecture, instituted by former minister late Anjan Dutta and his family, featured Dr Buragohain speaking on ‘Navaprajanmor Babe Jiwanar Arthar Xandhan’.
Dr Buragohain highlighted the idea that one can find the meaning of life by intimately connecting with the world through meaningful work or a mission. The realisation of life’s meaning often comes from appreciation, acknowledgment, or expressions of gratitude from others, not something one can create for oneself. Dr Bitupon Neog, DDC Sivasagar, inaugurated the lecture and provided insights in his speech.
Dr Ankita Dutta, director of the Anjalee Dutta Foundation, spoke about the history of the fund and its activities. Additionally, 18 meritorious students were awarded a cash incentive of Rs 5000 each, along with felicitation and books. Various dignitaries, including Dr Akshyata Narayan, MD of Prag News, Dr Sabyasachi Mahanata, principal of Gargaon College, and senior journalists Khalilur Rahman and Manirul Islam Bora, addressed the students and shared words of inspiration.
