SIVASAGAR, July 27: Sivasagar sub-division of APDCL observed ‘Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya-Power 2047’ programme in Khatpathar LP School premises on Monday with over a hundred Saubhagya beneficiaries present. Indrajyoti Borthakur spoke on the objectives of the mission of Government of India. Subham Gowala, DDC, Sivasagar, thanked the government for providing hassle free electricity connection and uninterrupted power supply in the fringe areas. It was also addressed by Fauzia khan, ward commissioner, ward no 6, Sivasagar. The organisers showed seven documentaries on India’s march towards power self-sufficiency and the present situation when the National Power Grid is capable of exporting power to neighbouring countries. The beneficiaries presented a cultural programme besides a plantation drive in the school premises. The meeting was also attended by inspector of schools Kamaljyoti Gogoi.
