Established in 1938, the school’s long legacy was fondly remembered as the 1976 alumni gathered for a grand reunion programme. The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by chief guest and noted physician Dr Binoy Kumar Das.
Another chief guest, Ashok Guha Roy, inaugurated a special tribute segment dedicated to late singing icon Zubeen Garg, followed by a memorial observance for departed teachers and classmates.
The programme was moderated by Probir Chakraborty and Ashok Mandal. Among the distinguished guests were retired Margherita College professor Bela Deb and retired teachers Prabir Ranjan Dutta and Chandan Das.
Former teachers and students shared fond memories, reflecting on their school days and the institution’s journey. The alumni also honoured current teachers and presented a steel almirah and a set of books to the Headmaster of AR & T Company High School.
The evening session featured a lively cultural programme with songs, poetry recitations and performances by former students, bringing the day-long celebration to a memorable close.
