Assam CM Distributes Seed Fund to 14,000 Women Entrepreneurs in Tinsukia

Tinsukia, Oct 08: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed seed funds of ₹10,000 each to over 14,000 women in Tinsukia on Wednesday, 8 October, under a state initiative aimed at supporting women-led entrepreneurship.

The financial aid will help recipients establish or expand small-scale ventures, contributing to the local economy and strengthening self-employment opportunities across the district.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister said the government is committed to empowering women to become key drivers of Assam’s economic growth.

He stated that the initiative forms part of a broader plan to enable “Nari Shakti” to lead an economic transformation in the state through sustained financial and institutional support.
