GUWAHATI, Feb 2: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has launched two key digital initiatives, Revenue Court Case Management System and E-Deed System, aimed at enhancing transparency and ease of living for citizens, the Chief Minister announced on Sunday.
Taking to the micro-blogging site X, Sarma stated that both services will allow people to access online revenue court facilities and digitally create, sign, and store their land deeds.
He wrote, “Today, we have launched two initiatives that enhances #EaseofLiving – Revenue Court Case Management and E-Deed Systems.”
Addressing a press conference at Lok Sewa Bhawan in Dispur, the Chief Minister highlighted the significance of these initiatives in streamlining land-related services and reducing bureaucratic hurdles.
Meanwhile, the E-Deed system, in particular, is expected to make property registration more efficient and transparent, benefiting thousands of landowners across the state.
“Both these services will allow citizens to access online facilities of revenue courts and digitally create/sign/store their land deeds”, Sarma added.
Additionally, during the press conference, Sarma also celebrated a historic achievement, the inscription of Charaideo Maidams on the UNESCO World Heritage List (Cultural) by the World Heritage Committee.
He further emphasized that the Government of Assam will take steps to properly preserve this prestigious inscription copy, ensuring global recognition of the state’s rich cultural heritage.
