Assam: Meeting Held Regarding PM Modi’s Visit

BOKAJAN, April 26: BJP, Sarupathar Mandal Committee held a joint extended meeting regarding Prime Minister’s visit to Karbi Anglong.

At the ruling party meeting, 136 Opposition party workers from All Party Hills Leaders Conference (APHLC) joined the BJP.

Attending the meeting as the chief guest, executive member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Jagat Sing Engti said, “In the last 5 years we have completed the building of 28 kms of roads, build a Mini Stadium at Japralangso and IB. In the coming Member of Autonomous Council (MAC) election if I win again I will complete the remaining roads.”

He appealed to the attending party workers that 3,000 from the Sarupathar MAC Constituency will have to attend the meeting of the Prime Minister of India on April 28 at Loringthepi.

The meeting was also attended by president of BJP, Mandal Committee, Lokhiram Rongpi, BJP, East Karbi Anglong District Committee member, Robbie Rongpi, ward commissioner of Diphu Municipal Board, Sadhana Rongpipi and others.

In another programme of the BJP, Bokajan MLA, Dr Numal Momin visited the Nilip BJP office under his constituency.

On the occasion, an emergency meeting was held in which the MLA appealed to the workers to attend the coming meeting of the Prime Minister of India’s visit on April 28.

The MLA also deputy speaker of the Legislative Assembly, said that the bridges and roads being built under Nilip area should be completed at the earliest otherwise the work order to the particular contractor will be cancelled.

The MAC of Nilip, Pabitra Rongpi said that 600 people will attend the Prime Minister’s meeting.
