Assam: Outrage over recovery of students’ body in Haflong

Haflong, April 23: In a surprising development, a youth’s lifeless body was found in the heart of Dima Hasao district, Assam, causing local residents to panic on Tuesday. The body was discovered in the Haflong Sadar area of Dima Hasao.

The deceased was identified by officials as Sliring Hojai, a student from Gadin Raji village in the Mahur subdivision of the district. Initial observations from the local police suggested that the body had signs of assault, including a broken right leg, suggesting possible foul play.

Suspicions of murder have been raised as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the student’s untimely death.

The deceased was a 12th standard student at Haflong Government College, according to officials. Further details about the incident and the identity of the attackers are awaited as the investigation continues.
