JORHAT, May 6: The Assam Rice Research Institute (ARRI), formerly Regional Agriculture Research Station at Titabar under Assam Agricultural University has bagged the Best Centre – All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Rice (2022-23), in the country.
An AAU official informed that the award was presented to the chief scientist of ARRI Dr Sanjay Kumar Chetia by the director of ICAR -Indian Institute of Rice Research Dr RM Sundaram at the concluding ceremony of the two day 58th Annual Rice Group Meeting held at the Dr MC Das Memorial Auditorium at AAU Jorhat campus on Friday.
ADG (FFC) ICAR, New Delhi Dr S K Pradhan, director of ICAR – National Rice Research Institute AK Nayak were present on the occasion.
Over 300 agri scientists and researchers involved in rice research across the country and agripreneurs attended the meeting.
