Assam Rifles organises interaction with Assam Football Association

HT CorrespondentBISWANATH CHARIALI, Sept 8: Lokra Battalion, under the aegis of Headquarter 21 Sector Assam Rifles and Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), organised an interaction with the officials of Assam Football Association on Wednesday at Lokra.

The motive of the interaction is to focus on the planning, preparation and training of Assam Football Team (Women) participating in the upcoming National Games 2022 to be held in Gujarat which includes the players of Assam Rifles also, stated a press release.

Various measures to bring the hidden sports talent among the youths was also discussed. Colonel Nitesh Singh, commandant, Lokra Battalion and Hiren Gogoi, secretary, Assam Football Association exchanged tokens of gratitude for the teamwork and collaboration.

Lokra Battalion’s continuous effort in collaboration with local sports authorities has recently yielded 16 Gold medals and 1 silver medal in SGADF (School Games and Activity Development Foundation) National Youth Games 2022 held from 2 – 5 September 2022 at Delhi.
