SIVASAGAR, Jan 20: The recovery officer of Assam Tea Employees Provident Fund Organization (ATEPFO), Sivasagar zonal office under the department of labour has attached the Rajabarie Tea Estate under the Demow revenue circle on Saturday for allegedly defaulting in depositing provident fund dues amounting to Rs. 48,14,777.11.
Prabhati Baruah Khound, assistant provident fund commissioner-cum-recovery officer, Sivasagar ATEPFO attached the movable and immovable properties of the tea estate by order No. PF/ZO-SIV/PF/Recovery/2024/S-224/115-116 dated o0n Saturday as the management of the yea estate had failed to honour the demand notice served to them by the recovery officer.
After the attachment, the management of Rajabarie Tea Estate will be unable to sell, transfer or lease out its movable and immovable properties.
The attachment was carried out by Prabhati Baruah Khound in the presence of other government officers and representatives of ACKS and ACMS, Moran circle.
