Awareness programme on Malaria held in Itakhola

BISWANATH CHARIALI, April 28: An awareness programme was organised by the Health Department of Biswanath on the occasion of World Malaria Day at Itakhola on Friday.

Bipul Saikia, Deputy Inspector of the Malaria Department, addressed the gathering, highlighting the objectives, importance, and significance of World Malaria Day.

He also discussed various precautionary measures to prevent the spread of malaria.

As part of the initiative, nearly 100 blood samples were collected and tested using Rapid Diagnostic Kits (RDKs).

Additionally, a significant number of mosquito nets were distributed to local residents, and existing nets were disinfected by the department to ensure effective protection.

The event aimed to raise awareness about malaria prevention and promote healthier practices within the community.
