Awareness session and registration camp held for PMMVY

NAGAON, July 21: A special awareness session and registration camp for the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) was organised on Monday by the Women Empowerment Centre under the District Women and Child Development Department at Amani Sector, under the Bajiagaon Integrated Child Development Project.

According to an official statement, the programme was inaugurated by Deepa Shyam, Project Officer of the Bajiagaon Integrated Child Development Project.

She urged all eligible beneficiaries and pregnant women to take advantage of the scheme and explained its objectives and benefits.

Over 15 beneficiaries participated in the campaign.

Quin Borah, District Programme Coordinator of the Women Empowerment Centre, facilitated the registration process by opening accounts through the Indian Post Payment Bank.

Chief Sevika Chisirkana Roy, Shubhadra Bora, Moushumi Gayan Tamuli, and beneficiaries were also present at the event.

The Project Officer also appealed to Anganwadi workers and Chief Sevika to ensure timely completion of all tasks related to the scheme.

Nabiul Hazarika, Block Coordinator of Poshan, addressed and resolved FRS-related issues of several beneficiaries, enabling them to receive their PMMVY installments.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Moushumi Gayan Tamuli, Chief Sevika of the Amani Sector, the statement added.
