Firstly, Gogoi addressed the issue of SI Junmoni Rabha, stating that the AYM had been continuously protesting for justice for SI Junmoni Rabha. He alleged that it has been almost 7 to 8 months, and within that period, the police officers were given reserve closure. He alleged that the suspended police officers were reappointed, and SI Junmoni Rabha’s mother did not receive justice. The AYM demanded the state government conduct a proper investigation into the SI Junmoni Rabha incident.

Secondly, Gogoi spoke about the construction of the four-lane national highway, stating that construction has been ongoing from 2016 from Jhanji to Demow. He questioned how much longer it would take, highlighting frequent road accidents. He mentioned the involvement of GDCL company followed by the Shiva Harlalka company, alleging that they did not properly execute their work. He referred to the house constructed for the flyover in the middle of Demow Chariali near NH-37 Road as Bibabh Bhawan. He stated that due to the house constructed for the flyover, vehicles coming from both directions cannot be seen, causing serious problems for the public in Demow Chariali. The AYM demanded the demolition of the house constructed for the flyover near NH-37 Road in Demow Chariali. Gogoi warned that if the government did not demolish the house within 10 days, the AYM would launch a democratic protest program with the help of the people.

Jadumoni Kalita, president of Asomiya Yuva Mancha (AYM) Sivasagar District Committee, appealed to the central and state government to provide land pattas to indigenous peoples who are being deprived of them. Other leaders of AYM were also present at the press meet.
