JORHAT, Oct 19:Â Bahona College, Jorhat, has been accorded A+ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), in the third cycle of assessment thereby becoming the first college in the state to get A+ in the third cycle assessment category done by the evaluation body (NAAC) of UGC.
A faculty member of Bahona College informed on Wednesday that as per an announcement made by NAAC on Tuesday the college was awarded A+ grade with a 3.36 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) on a scale of 4 points.
The faculty member said that the college has become the first college in Assam to get A+ in the category of third cycle assessment of NAAC and second college to get A+ after a college of Golaghat district that was awarded in the fourth cycle earlier.
The faculty member stated that on October 12 and 13 last, a three-member team from NAAC carried out an inspection of the college in this regard.
