Bhaswat Saikia brings glory to state with 474th rank in UPSC Exam

NAGAON, April 22: Bhaswat Saikia, a young and talented individual from Nagaon, has brought glory to the district as well as the state by securing the 474th rank in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam 2024.

This is not the first time Saikia has made headlines; he had previously secured the 552nd rank in the UPSC exam 2023 and became an IPS officer.

Saikia’s academic journey is marked by consistent achievements.

He had secured the 68th rank in the IFS exam 2022.

Despite being an IPS officer, Saikia appeared for the UPSC exam 2024 with the aim of becoming an IAS officer and has improved his rank compared to the previous year.

Bhaswat Saikia’s educational journey began at Balya Bhavan in Nagaon, where he completed his primary education.

He then attended the Nagaon Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School and secured the 10th position in the HSLC exam in 2012.   

Saikia later pursued B.Tech from IIT Guwahati and joined City Group as a software developer.

Born to Birendra Saikia and Dibyajyoti Saikia, Bhaswat hails from Diphalu, the outskirts of Nagaon town. His success has brought immense joy to his family, friends, and the entire community.

On his success, Bhaswat Saikia said that systematic hard work and dedication are the keys to achieving success.

His achievement has inspired many young aspirants in the state, and his name is being touted as a role model for civil service aspirants.

With this achievement, Bhaswat Saikia has once again brought glory to Nagaon and the state, inspiring others to work towards their goals with dedication and perseverance.
