Biennial Children’s Meet-17th edition held in Tezpur

TEZPUR, July 29: The 17th Biennial Children’s meet organised by Jyoti – Bishnu Moina Parijat was held on Friday here at Bamungaon Madhya Barika Chuburi School premises   with various colourful programmes.

The daylong programme includes songs, dances, poetry recitations, lectures, extempore speech and several mind blowing programmes. The opening session presided over by Snehal Goswami, a moina of  Jyoti – Bishnu Moina Parijat was  moderated by Dhan Saikia secretary, Jyoti Bishnu Moina Pariajat.Momi Bhagawati, president of the Jyoti Bishnu Moina Pariajat welcomed the guests and the childrens attending the programme. Gargi Saikia, moina of Luitpar Moina Parijat, Kabya Nangseng Chetia, moina of Natarajam Moina Parijat and Riya Devi of Becheria Anchalik Moina Parijat explained the aims, objectives, history and role of Moina Parijat throughout the decades. Attending respectively as distinguished speaker and invited guest in their deliberation they  recalled the  immense contributions made by  Kaka Mahadev Sarma, Troilokyanath Goswami Aaita  Nalinibala Devi and their role in establishing the All Assam Moina Parijat as a platform to act  for the intellectual, mental and physical development of the  children in and around the state of Assam.

Among other dignitaries the programme was also attended by Nilima Bezbarua, assistant secretary of Sadao Assam Moina Parijat, Pankaj Barua, president of Akanir Sahitya Sabha, Chittaranjan Nath, secretary of Tezpur District Moina Parijat,  Mridul Sharma, president of Tezpur Regional Moina Parijat. Pankaj Barua, president of Akanir Sahitya Sabha in his speech elaborated the role of Moina Parijat in leading a child to a notable personality of the society. He urged the parents to encourage their child to move ahead through healthy competition in all aspects and advised all to focus on mastering in their field or subject of their interest.

 

Meanwhile, a total of nine former moina were felicitated during the programme for showing outstanding performance in different examination like HSLC, HSSLC and APSC examination including Sankrita Bora, Kajal Kundu, Banjita Das, Rismita Kashyap, Chandana Sarma, Prajwalita Bharadwaj, Sashanka Goswami,Nilotpal Bania and Gargi Goswami. At the very outset of the programme Moina Mayuri Das hoisted the flag and Moina Priyangshi Saikia opened the programme of paying homage followed by recitation, dance and extempore speech competition.
