Birth anniversary of Jananeta Bhimbor Deori organised

Under the patronage of All Assam Deori Sanmillan and in association with community, ethnic organisations and people, the 120th birth anniversary of Jananeta Bhimbor Deori was organised in Tengapani Cultural Marangghar (Singiyani) on Tuesday.
The programme started with a cleanliness drive which was followed by flag hoisting. The smriti tarpan was offered and a sapling plantation programme was also organised. A drawing competition and an essay competition was also organised on the topic – ‘Jananeta Bhimbor Deori Life Philosophy’.
A discussion session was conducted where dignitaries were present. An open session was also organised where Bhoirab Deori, CEM of Deori Autonomous Council along with other dignitaries were present. A smriti granth was released on the occasion.
In the programme, Thowra MLA Sushanta Borgohain, Bhoirab Deori, CEM of Deori Autonomous Council, Ajay Kumar Gogoi, professor in Moran Women College along with other dignitaries were present.
