The leaders held an introductory meeting with district-level functionaries, kicking off an intensive schedule aimed at energising the party’s grassroots network.

Throughout the visit, CEM Debolal Gorlosa and district BJP leaders held organisational discussions focusing on strengthening booth-level outreach, mobilising supporters and consolidating support across Dima Hasao. These meetings form part of the party’s strategy to secure the highest victory margins in all ten Assembly constituencies.

Speaking to reporters, State BJP president Dilip Saikia highlighted rapid development in Dima Hasao under what he described as the “triple-engine government” of the Centre, State and the Autonomous Council. He noted improvements in infrastructure, irrigation, agriculture and tourism, alongside better connectivity and access to health services in remote areas such as Maibang, Mahur and Harangajao.

Saikia also pointed to key welfare and education initiatives, including Ekalavya Model Residential Schools, Arunodoi and various flagship schemes benefiting diverse communities. He reiterated the party’s vision of “Raijor Sarkar, Raijor Podulit,” emphasising direct connection with citizens.

Targeting the opposition, Saikia said the Congress under Gaurav Gogoi had lost ground, crediting the BJP’s recent electoral gains. He criticised the Congress for “failing the people” and urged it to release a white paper on its development record.

Saikia stated that the BJP in Dima Hasao is aligning its structure from booth committees to MAC members, MLAs and grassroots workers to maximise vote share and secure a sweeping victory in 2026.

The high-level visit signals the BJP’s focus on deepening grassroots mobilisation, strengthening organisational unity and foregrounding development as its key campaign message. With the elections approaching, Dima Hasao has emerged as an important district in the party’s roadmap to a decisive mandate next year.
