The Garjaga session was conducted in collaboration with the Howraghat Tiniali Primary Bodo Sahitya Sabha and moderated by Sumeswar Basumatary, Secretary of KADBS. Key attendees included Mogez Narja Boro, Milaram Boro (Treasurer, KADBS), Hari Narzary (president, Kachari Samaj), Biren Swargiary (president, Garjaga Primary School Management Committee) and representatives from ABSU, the Gaon Burha Association and the All Bodo Women’s Welfare Federation (ABWWF). Speakers emphasised community involvement to improve literacy rates and student retention.

Simultaneously, a second awareness camp was held at Chunpura Primary School, moderated by Dinesh Daimary, Assistant Secretary of KADBS. The event was graced by Rituraj Basumatary (president, KADBS), Langouna Brahma (Assistant Secretary, KADBS), Pramila Fakhrari (president, ABWWF), Gurucharan Goyary (secretary, Harimu Afad) and local leaders including Kamal Basumatary and Khagen Basumatary. Discussions highlighted the importance of quality education in Bodo-medium schools and the socio-economic benefits of higher learning.

The dual-location initiative aimed to bridge gaps between school administrations and parents, promote Bodo language and literature within formal education and encourage primary school enrollment across the district.

“Education is the backbone of our society. By reaching out to the grassroots in villages like Garjaga and Chunpura, we aim to ensure that no child is left behind due to a lack of awareness,” summarised the speakers.
