Bodoland University celebrates 16th Foundation Day

KOKRAJHAR, Feb 28: The Bodoland University, a premier educational institution in Bodoland Territorial Region, celebrated its 16th foundation day on Friday.

The celebrations were done with a befitting programme in conjunction with observations of National Science Day, at the Jwhwlao Nileshwar Brahma Auditorium Hall of the university in Kokrajhar.

The event witnessed the convergence of distinguished guests and scholars from various fields that gathered for a discussion on the educational upliftment and development.

Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Along with him, Prodeep Phukan FRSC, director of the College Development Council and professor of Chemistry of Guwahati University, was also present as a guest speaker.

 Babu Lal Ahuja, vice-chancellor of the Bodoland University, and Surat Narzary, president of Bodo Sahitya Sabha, graced the occasion as guests on the occasion.

The celebration was a momentous occasion, not only marking the growth of Bodoland University but also for acknowledging the pivotal role of science in shaping the future. 

The event highlighted the university’s continued commitment to academic excellence and the promotion of scientific inquiry.

CEM of BTR, Pramod Boro extended his warm greetings to the authorities of the university on its foundation day as well celebration of the National Science Day on Friday.

He said that the Bodoland University has been regarded as a premier educational institution in Bodoland region. He announced Rs 1 crore as financial support from the BTR Government for the promotion of research and study development in the university.

CEM Boro visited the exhibition and poster presentation programme organised to showcase the research and innovation being undertaken in BTR.

“I’am delighted to have attended the 16th Foundation Day and National Science Day celebrations at Bodoland University today. Science is a driving force for peace & progress, and Bodoland University is playing a pivotal role in empowering our youth for global leadership in science and innovation, contributing towards a Viksit BTR and Viksit Bharat”, Boro said.
