“During MLA elections in April, I visited this place to campaign for BJP candidate Bidya Sing Engleng. In that election meeting, I had given the people assurance to declare Borlangpher as a town. Today I once again declare that very soon by this year Borlangpher will be made a town,” Ronghang said.

In order to raise the economic standard in rural areas through horticulture the KAAC authority has thought of providing 100 betel nut saplings to each family. The CEM explained how sustainable economic income can be generated by taking up betel nut farming.

The CEM was happy to see several big fishery ponds in the Borlangpher area as fish farming can also bring good economic income to the family.

He told the villagers that next year the Agriculture department will be providing other horticulture plants like lemon, litchi and coconut.
